My journal entry from May 29th, 2020. Reflecting on the concept of “enough” and where we truly find joy.
Read MoreWe often hear that Danes know a thing or two about happiness, and as we talk about in this episode, you’ve probably seen a coffee table book about Hygge. The incredible thing Danae has observed since living there is the way the Danish are able to bring sunlight into their lives when there may be little.

Read MoreLast Friday, I polished off my first pint of Sunshine from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams while chatting with Jeni Britton Bauer. While she was doing the very same thing, she shared what it’s like to be a leader, an entrepreneur, a creative, and a scientist. And we’re sending you away with some tips to try it too, along with a link for the most amazing frozen drink recipe!
Read MoreJeni’s Ice Creams has officially released Sunshine to start a conversation around our gray clouds and sunshine. I paused to reflect on all the feelings coming up around the success of this little pint of sunshine that I got to be a small part of, of conversations around stigma, of changing the conversation. And realized that yesterday I experienced a bit of what it means to find sunshine on a cloudy day.
Read MoreIt’s time for the first full length episode of Baking Bread! Many of you have asked to hear more about friendship. Read MoreI’ve heard people can get in big debates over whether the toilet paper should unroll from the top or the bottom. Beyond that, I never looked to toilet paper as something that could teach us something profound about our relationships with others. In fact, it was through giving those who are nervous about their TP quantities some grace that I learned a great deal more about my own relationship, and I think it is something we can all understand.
