Mental Health Meet-Up
+ bi-weekly community dinner lasting 60-90 min.
Adolescent or Adult Community Dinner
Mental health and wellness often have a sneaky way of making it feel like "it's just us" struggling, or initiate a lot of shame. The reality is 1 in 4 individuals has a diagnosable mental illness in a given year, according to Johns Hopkins. All of us have feelings, good days, bad days, and a lot in between. In my work, I've observed just how powerful it can be to have a sense of community, and be around other people who hold mental health in mind, and the magic of doing so over food. Thus, the Community Dinner came to be. Here's the dets:
+ bi-weekly community dinner lasting 60-90 min.
-Group members each bring a food item to share with everyone else, and we'll gather and chat over a shared meal.
-Gently guided conversation, loosely centered on everyday mental health, well-being, and connection
-Location, day/time agreed upon once multiple dinner guests join. Modifications can be made to offer virtual groups.
-Separate groups for adolescents and adults
This isn't a therapy session. Rather a place for people to connect in the community who care about mental health and wellness. Therapists, therapy-goers, people who are looking to learn more about mental health- this is a safe place to gather and feel a sense of community.
$80 per month for bi-weekly group (one month commitment requested). Financial assistance available.
For a limited time, attend your first dinner for free! OR, purchase a monthly membership, and bring a friend for two free dinners.
