Guest of Honor: In Touch with Ourselves with Tina Frey Designs

Today we are chatting with the incredible artist Tina Frey of Tina Frey Designs. After years in the finance world, Tina decided to pivot and launch into her passion of creating. She now owns and operates her design studio in San Francisco producing beautiful Resin objects ranging from table wears and vessels to furniture and more!

Sometimes we hear someone living their passion and it can feel so inspiring. But when that inspiration has us turning to at ourselves, we don't know where to begin...or maybe even it's too late? Did we take a wrong turn?

In this episode, you will understand from Tina that in fact it's quite the opposite. It's in really listening to ourselves that we discover where we are meant to be going. And in fact, it's the journey that both continues to lead us, and mold us into the person we are today. No matter where you are in your career, your self expression, or your discovery, today's episode will inspire you to pause and get in touch with yourself, and realize that it is the ingredients of all of our experiences along the way that set us up for the next chapter.

Recipe:

Today we are snacking on an apricot fruit galette from Melissa Clark via New York Times Cooking.

This was my first time making a galette, and Tina had been enjoying them in various forms over the last couple of months! The recipe is a joy to make, simple and straightforward yet a beautiful product when you pull it out of the oven. Amazing served warm, and keeps well in the fridge as well.

Take Home Tip:

Tina shares that meditation is her key to really connecting with herself! She recommends the app Waking Up app with Sam Harris.

Remember just like our relationship with ourselves, meditation can take time to build. Try starting out slow or shorter, or even getting involved with a studio near you if that’s an option!
