Guest of Honor: A Cup of Coffee with Jacob of Tenfold
We've long known the joys of coffee. It's the thing we offer when we want to catch up with a friend. It's often one of the first things we reach for to start our day. When we pause to think about it, these cups are a version of ourselves...whether you take yours hot, iced, with milk or foam. And they're also a collection of the places in the world where our beans come from, the people who's hands have crafted this flavor, the people we are gathering with over our cup. Even if that means connecting with ourselves.
Today, we are breaking down what it means to really enjoy, see, and experience a cup of coffee, and how Tenfold is bringing that to Houston. I am so happy to have this incredible cafe in our neighborhood and city. Thank you Jacob for bringing us amazing flavor, community, and the reminder to slow down and show up for the beautiful moments in our day like a great cup of coffee. Let's gather around the table and chat!
Listen to the episode below or via one of the links provided, and don’t miss following Tenfold on Instagram! And be sure to pay the cafe here in Houston a visit!
If you’d like to follow along outside of the blog, it is also available on Apple Podcasts, Anchor, Spotify, and other sources.
On the Table:
Will and I took one of the private coffee tasting courses at Tenfold a few weeks back as well. It was a fabulous learning experiencing, from understanding where our coffee comes from, the people who produce it, and pausing to appreciate the unique flavor notes from each bean variety. Reach out to Tenfold to learn more!
Take Home Tip:
Jacob hopes that this week, you consider your daily habits, those little moments you are present in today, and preparing for tomorrow too. We talk in the episode about thinking out about the next decade, where we hope to go, and where we hope to be. Reflect on what you can do today that is laying the foundation for that future. And of course, while you’re at it, pause to pay attention to the little moments of joy in our day and savor them. Like a beautiful cup of coffee.
